2004 when moved to full-time with Compliancy.
Responsible for leading the development and professional services teams
from the initial design through implementation of the innovative and easier to
use Compliancy Software solution for automating business processes for risk

MIS manager for desktop, server and network support and administration duties
on Red Hat Linux, Windows and Solaris and in internal development for the
performance testing initiative, including recompiling Apache for higher

11/99 – 1/2001.
Responsible for the management of 9 person operations and network teams. Led the design and implementation of a 12
million dollar, 24/7 data center and network operations for this startup
internet marketing company. Created the
entire operations department from ground zero including strategic direction,
budgets, resources, policies and procedures making extensive use of Open Source applications.
Day to day operations management included
over 30 severs, including an IBM 390, 2 Sun E6500s, 15+ terabytes of online Oracle and DB2 databases, the entire
facilities maintenance and internal and remote desktop support.

Responsible for 24/7 operation of an enterprise
wide EDI Electronic commerce site (www.railnetredi.com)
that provides real-time data from IBM mainframe to the Railroad industry via
the web using Sun workstations, Oracle database, and Java and Netscape
webservers.
Day to day responsibilities included
system and network administration, trouble shooting issues, maintenance of the
high availability web, application, and database servers and lead liaison for
outsource providers (GEIS) and equipment colocated offsite.

Nortel Networks. 8/96
– 3/99.
Responsible for the management and hiring
of 7 system administrators, 3 network engineers, and 2 MIS employees
responsible for customer service and the day to day operations of Linux servers and Network equipment providing
24/7 Internet access to 40,000+ users of the private Frame Relay network and
multi-home access to the public Internet. Raised the customer satisfaction from
the low 60's to the upper 80s and also increased system availability to a
sustained 99.95%.
Prior to manager of operations, acted as
technical lead on a internal firewall project responsible for analysis, design,
and implementation of a protected mode port of existing real mode code for the
Nortel firewall using MSVC 2.0 and Pharlap’s TNT DOS extender and as the
primary contact for resolving customer problems with the Nortel firewall.
Led the analysis and design of a Linux
based client/server messaging system for TV based web browsers and implemented
the first phase using Linux and gcc.
Led the analysis, design, and
implementation of the “On Call Person” for daily system administration of
Nortel’s system and network equipment and commened by customers for quality of
customer service.

Lead analyst for the design and
implementation of a cross platform Client/Server message passing system for
pick and place equipment implemented on Sun Sparcs with TCP/IP, using C++ and
ported to OS/2 and Windows NT. Used Zapp to port several UI components between
platforms and implemented a cross platform socket class to aid in the porting
of communications programs which uploaded and configured machine lines from
SunOs to OS/2 and Windows NT.
